Who it’s for

Public-service teams, commissioners, policy professionals and people scrutinising public-sector AI.

Before you begin

Basic familiarity with AI. You can take this course independently of AI Policy in Practice. No technical background required.

What you’ll make

A deployment assurance pack and a go / conditional go / no-go recommendation for a fictional council service.

The full curriculum

Learn the method.
Practise the judgment.

Read, apply, check and reflect. Each lesson includes an exercise, worked answer and knowledge checks. Read the selected sections, work through the fictional evidence packet and explain a decision before comparing with the example. Most time is spent on the exercises, not reading the lesson text.

UK-led practical cases, with international frameworks and research. For another jurisdiction, replace the institutional and legal assumptions; this course is not a comprehensive survey of global AI policy.
